Objectives-In this lesson the students will be able to understand the hardships of the Wright Brothers. They will also be able to identify who the Wright Brothers are and what there contribution to socitey was. Hopefully they will understand the failure the Wright Brothers had to go through before they finally found a design that worked. It will show them to never give up despite what other people say.
Standards- Evaluate historical interpretation of events. Innovators and Reformers. Identify and evaluate the political and cultural contributions of individuals and groups to United States history from 1890 to Present.
In the early 1900's the main transportation system was the Waterways and occasionally the use of automibles. They cars werent like the machines we have today. They would frequently break down on long trips and it would create much stress for that person. These troubles would all be solved when two brothers that owned a bicycle store put their brains together and created one of the first flying machines in the world.
