Midterm Lesson Plan
Bellringer- When using more then one word together you can create many different types of words. Lets try an easy one.
PIG-
TAIL-
If you put these two words together you get pigtail. In this lesson you will be learning how to decode words such as this one.
I think the pictures will get the kids into this lesson. I would pick mostly cartoon pictures because they can relate to that more. Hopefully they will be able to decode words after this lesson.
This is a constructivistic lesson because i can build on either word and any other word of my choice. I can build the childs mind to reckonize other words and decode them also.
Bellringer- Do you know that you can use two different kinds of voices? First can be the passive voice. this can be described as something you would use when talking to a friend of your family. The other kind of voice is active. This voice can be used as a posivtive and a negative voice. In this lesson you will be able to describe the different sounds the two make and when to use both of them. Which one would you use.
I Believe that this student will not be so intrested in this topic so it is my job to make the lesson fun. I could do this by possibly putting in some webquests and some pictures also.
This lesson is constructivistic because by using the dreamweaver and all it has to offer you will have them thinking about how they use their own voice and that is a building process in itself.
Bellringer- How do trees stay alive? Do you ever wonder how a tree drinks? With an action called the cohesion or pull theory a tree is able to stay alive by drinking water. The roots of the tree help it out by staying stable and making sure it gets plenty of water. What do you think would happen if the trees roots were to break off? This is just one of the questions in this lesson.
This is a most intresting topic and there is a lot of stuff i can do with it. I believe the student will keep intrest as long as the lesson doesnt go boring. This lesson has potential to be a strong and fun one.
This lesson is also constructive because like the first lesson i can build on either picture and go into all sorts of pictures and knowledge about this topic.
Bellringer-Back in the days of Exploration many people believed
that the Americans had the right to Manifest Destiny. What is manifest Destiny?
Manifest Destiny was the thought that we were able to expand our country to our own limits without bothering to ask any other country of tribe that was in charge of that land at that given time. This lead to many wars and many lives were taken. In this lesson you will learn why we did this and what outcome it had on the formation of this great country.
I think that students will be intrested in this topic more then anyother because it has to deal with the United States and how we were formed. There is also a lot i can do with this lesson if i play my cards right.
This lesson is a little less constructive because with all the tools you can sum up manifest destiny in a few paragraphs but with the picture to help me as a tool i can go deeper into the role of America and the people who had this idea of Manifest Destiny,
