Who am I?
I am a student at King's College in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. It is located off of Route 81 in northeastern PA. I am studying Elementary Education there and hope to someday have a job as an elementary teacher. I used to play many sports in high school including: wrestling, golf, soccer, cross country, baseball, and track. My standout sport that had a major effect on my coming to King's was wrestling. I placed 8th at states my senior year and ended my high school career with a record of 105 wins and 27 losses. At the moment I am the all time winningest wrestler at my alumni school of Blue Ridge, but will undoubtably lose my crown to my younger brother who is a senior this year and will break my record half way through his season. I am the oldest of three sons for Dennis and Sallie Lewis. My performance, love of the sport and close friends that were on the team had a major influence on my attending school here at King's. Upon arriving at King's I found that their education programs were top of the line and this is what secured me into becoming a King's College student.
I have always had a desire to help people and especially with younger kids. I have many much younger cousins that I have always like spending time with and liked being someone they would come to to ask questions like young ones do. I also coached in our elementary wrestling program and help with a summer camp like event my mother does in which the attendants are young children. The camp is for kids in grades 3 through 8 and is from 9 to 12 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They do all kinds of sports but also get to do things with arts and crafts and computer classes. Participating in these kinds of things made me realize teaching the youth of our nation is something I would definetly enjoy doing in my life.
