iMovie Lesson
Bell Ringer: Have you ever watched a video in class and the teacher fowarded through some parts or stopped it to explain something? Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to edit videos, add explanatons, etc all in one program?
Objective: Students will learn about the iMovie program and some of the things that can be done with it.
Discussion:
1. What would you like to be able to do with an iMovie program?
2. Do you think that the program would help get a message across in an efficient way?
3. What are some examples of when an iMovie might be appropriate?
Please review the following site to learn more about iMovies.

Closure: Let students experiment with the iMovie program, answer questions, require the students to do certain things.
My Response (#7)
I feel the same way about iMovie as excel. The students need to see it and use it.
I think most students would answer yes to my questions in the bell ringer. For the first discussion question, What would you like to be able to do with an iMovie program?, I think some students would repeat what I said about editing and adding commentary. From this, I would try to direct students to say things like adding sounds, recording their voices, and writing sentences on the screen. I think they could also get that you can cut scenes out that you do not want.
From this, I think that the students would agree that an iMovie could help get a message across effectively.
I don't know what they would say about when to use an iMovie. Some students might suggest using it to edit and make home videos more entertaining. Others might suggest that it could be used in businesses of other forms.
